SYNOD COUNCIL YOUTH REP
During the 2008 Rocky Mountain Synod Assembly, delegates will be voting
on a new youth representative to sit on Synod Council. The
phabulous Phoebe
Breed's term will come to an end at this assemble. Those
interested in running for the position can let their pastor know and be
nominated by their congregation. Nomination forms are available at
http://www.rmselca.org/assembly08/nominationform.doc.
It is the hopes of the RMSLYO that the next youth rep on council be
willing to work closely with the LYO and work to advocate at the synod
council level.
2009 CHURCHWIDE LYO CONVIENTION
The leadership Team will be working to develop a system to nominate 8
delegates for the next LYO Convention. Be watching for details and
consider if you would like to be one of the students to travel to New
Orleans for the convention in the summer of 2009.
We may bring nominations to the 2008 Senior High Youth Gathering and
then those students would meet several times before the convention to
prepare for the event. Go to the church-wide LYO website listed
